A rather short one I took from the archives:

On May 22nd of 2010, I decided to do a version of The Big Calm as part of the MoinSound Studio Sessions. You can see the full concert here; the Big Calm track starts at around 30 minutes into the video:

I really liked this interpretation of the track, which had many nice moments. One I enjoyed particularily was when on top of a SusRec loop of a low grand piano note (which thus generated a pulse), I played some à la Bartok improvisation on electric piano on top of it.

The start – a short, three note motif, reminded me a little of “the little quick notes” George Duke plays on Zappa’s “The Bebop Tango” (on Roxy&Elsewhere) – hence the title.
