Ok, here’s a few things I identified as options for #secretalbum:
- using heartbeat, harrumphs and soft breathing noises as samples for a sampler drumkit
- using a vocal bassline, which doesn’t sound like vocals, rather like a really odd synth
- doing a lot with bass guitar harmonics in a track (perhaps combined with trombone?)
- did I already mention that innovative synthesis/resynthesis idea I had started working on in Reaktor?
- something lush, with Glockenspiel, wooden tubular bells and the Yamaha FS1R
- there should also be a grand piano solo piece
Lots of things to do – at least I won’t run out of ideas for this project…
