Another short snippet from the past:

I took a few seconds from the intro of my joint set with Krispen Hartung from way back: back in 2006, I was headlining the Y2K6 International Live Looping Festival. Just that year, there was the 10th birthday of the Looper’s Delight mailing list, to which I have been subscribed since 1998 (!). This event happened at a venue in Oakland called Sunshine Biscuit Factory – which was in fact an old biscuit factory which some goth people had turned into a fantastic venue.

The bill for the event contained duets all along, and originally I should have been paired with Mir-0. However, as his concert in San José had fallen through, he asked if he could do a solo set instead, and so we quickly swapped, and I was paired with Krispen (of Quelques Papiers D’Abord fame).

The recording of the performance (unpublished so far) goes on for more than 20 minutes of us going crazy – what you get here is only a few seconds of the intro. I leave it up to you to find out what is my synthesizer and what is Krispen’s guitar!

Industrial charm - what a fantastic venue!
